2 Sought In Armed Robbery At The Regal Cinemas On Hamilton Place Boulevard

  • Thursday, December 10, 2015

Chattanooga Police responded to the Regal Cinemas on a burglary in progress reported by an employee who was in the building at the time the suspect made entry.

The suspect broke into two cash drawers and then made his way up a stairwell toward the management offices where the reporting employee was working. When the employee heard someone coming up the stairs, believing it to be another employee, she opened the door. This startled the suspect who fled back down the stairs and left the building.

Chattanooga Police were on the scene within minutes. The building was searched by police and CPD K9. Surveillance video was reviewed identifying two separate suspects, only one of whom entered the building. The suspect was armed with a pick axe during the commission of this crime.

No one injured during this crime. Nothing is believed to have been taken from the business.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this crime to call 423 698-2525. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
