STARS Youth Summit/Move2Stand Has Training

Hamilton County Department of Education STARS (Students Taking a Right Stand) will host a Youth Summit Training on Tuesday.  The events will be from 8:30 a.m.–1:15 p.m. at the South Chattanooga Recreation Center at 1151 West 40th St.

The STARS Youth Summit is an initiative provided to strengthen leadership skills of participating high school students.  As part of the Tennessee Department of Education Safe and Supportive Schools Grant, the training is aimed to empower students to serve as positive change agents, enhancing the school environment.    

Representatives from Comcast Spotlight will make available the Kidklout Pledge Car for students to pledge support against bullying behaviors. Over 100 students representing 14 schools are expected to attend.
