Body Found In Dalton Motel; No Foul Play Suspected

The Dalton Police Department responded to a report of a dead body found in a room at the Downtowner motel on Thornton Avenue. The deceased was found by a member of the motel's cleaning crew. 

Detectives are processing the scene as they do with any unattended death, but there are no apparent signs of any foul play.

Georgia state health officials reported on Tuesday there have been an additional 81 deaths due to the coronavirus. The new total is 3,921. There were 2,573 new cases as that total reached 197,948 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Hospitalizations are at 19,426 - up 302 since Monday.
