Dr. Paul Norman Craig, 95, died peacefully at home in Hixson, Tennessee on April 15, 2016.

Born in Minneapolis, Paul was a brilliant man of god who touched many lives through his kindness.

He was predeceased by his loving wife of 57 years, Eloise Craig and son, Paul Craig, Jr.

He is survived by his daughter, Mary Coleman, Hixson, sons, Arthur Craigmill, Oregon House, CA, and David Craig, Sacramento, CA, eight grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Paul served as an ensign in the Navy during World War II at the Naval Research Laboratories. In 1943 he met and married Eloise, later receiving a Ph.D. in chemistry from the University of Minnesota. He worked for 25 years as a medicinal chemist developing therapeutic drugs and later as an information specialist for the National Library of Medicine. He was well known and respected by his colleagues. He will be most remembered for his selfless love of God, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, April 21, from 7-9 p.m. at Burks United Methodist Church, Hixson.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
