Police Blotter: Group Stages Shoplifting Raid On Rossville Boulevard Dollar General; Excursion With China, Pablo Proves Costly

Police said six black females carried out a flash shoplifting raid on the Dollar General on Rossville Boulevard.

The manager said they began grabbing multiple items, then ran out the door.

Store personnel were able to get the tag number off their vehicle, and it came back to Tameaka Green.

Her photo was shown to the manager, who made a positive identification.

She was being charged with theft under $500.

At Sportsman's Warehouse on Perimeter Drive, a store employee said he saw a male slip a box of Sig Sauer .38 Special ammunition in his rear pocket. He paid for another box of ammo, but not that one.

He then joined three other black males outside. All four drove away in a maroon Toyota Corolla.

The incident was caught on video.

Police said store personnel were able to identify the driver, but not the person who stole the ammunition.

On Derby Street, a gun was found in the driveway of a residence. Three bullets of the same caliber as the gun were found nearby.

Police noted there had been a vehicle pursuit in the area the night before.

A magazine from a 9mm handgun was found in a ditch at a residence on Ely Road.

It contained five rounds.

The owner of 426 Market St. said vandals have been spraying graffiti on his building.

Someone has also been using the bathroom behind the building, he said.

Joshua Daniels was taking a spin in his mother's 2008 Saturn Vue.

He invited two friends along - a black female known only as China and a black male known only as Pablo.

Mr. Daniels stopped at the Kangaroo station on Amnicola Highway and went inside. China and Pablo stayed outside.

The key was left in the vehicle.

Mom's car was gone when he surfaced from the convenience store.
