Barbara Alice Milewicz Lisanti Symonds, 70, of Dunlap, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017.
Barbara was born and raised in Bronx, New York. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be missed by all that loved her.
Barbara was preceded in death by her son, Jack Anthony Lisanti III; mother, Sophie Stella Grabowski-Milewicz; father, John Joseph Milewicz; and brother, John J. Milewicz.
Barbara is survived by her two daughters, Kristina (Joseph) Kulik of Ooltewah, and Melanie Harvey of Dunlap; five grandsons, Nichalous (Britni) Newman, Chrystofer J. Newman and John A. (Jessica) Newman, all of Chattanooga, Thomas Kulik and Samuel W. Harvey of Dunlap; granddaughter, Lauren E. Harvey of Dunlap; great-granddaughters, Kerah Casteneda-Newman of Fort Campbell, Ky., and Penelope Newman of Chattanoog; three great-grandsons Leon Newman, Damon Newman and Ryder Newman all of Chattanooga; sister, Irene Pope; niece, Alessandra Pope; nephews, John J. Milewicz and Joseph (Nicole) Milewicz.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 9, from 4-6 p.m. at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace.
A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Thursday in the funeral home chapel.
Private burial for the family in New York City will be at a later date.
