George Price
George Washington Price, 81, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2017 in a local hospital.
He retired from the United States Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby P. Grimes and Willie Price; sister, Barnell Upshaw; brothers, Odell Price and Nicholas Grimes.
Survivors include his son, Paul Harris of Chattanooga; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Deborah) Grimes of Chattanooga and Randy Grimes of Rossville; sister, Margaret A. “Peggy” Fountain of Decatur, GA; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Saturday, April 29, at 10 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor William Tramble as the eulogist. Burial will be on Monday, May 1, at 10:30 a.m. in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
