Former Chattanooga Lookouts pitcher Aaron Slegers is having the season of his life in 2017. Slegers who has spent the majority of his time in 2017 with Triple- A Rochester is currently tied with Durham’s Ryan Yarbrough for the most wins in the International League (13). Slegers also ranks in the top ten in ERA with a 3.37 ERA, and has pitched the fourth most innings of any pitcher in the International League (133.2).

On Thursday, August 17th, the moment that every baseball player dreams of became a reality for Slegers when he was called up to the Minnesota Twins for the first time in his career.
In
his Major League debut, Slegers led the Twins to a 4-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians for  the first time all season, after losing ten straight to the Indians.

RHP Felix Jorge, who was transferred to the Triple-A Rochester Red Wings two days ago made his first Triple-A start a success. The right-hander threw six shutout innings, giving up five hits, walking one and striking out seven. Unfortunately, when he left, the score was still tied at zero, so he got a no-decision.

Zach Granite has been recalled by the Minnesota Twins. After catcher Jason Castro was placed on the disabled list, Granite was sent to the Twins from Triple-A Rochester to take his place on the roster.

Lookouts center fielder, Levi Michael, has earned a promotion within theTwins organization. The former North Carolina Tar Heel, was promoted to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday, August 24th.

Michael has had one of his most productive seasons in his Minor League career after making the transition to center field this season. Michael departed Chattanooga with a .264 AVG (78-for-295), a .362 OBP, a .380 SLG percentage, 14R, 14 2B, a 3B, 6 HR, 43 RBI, 33 BB, and 112 TB.
Thursday marks the first time that Michael has been promoted to Triple-A in his baseball career.
It is nice to see Levi Michael getting his first call-up to Triple-A Rochester.
