Chattanooga Yacht Club Maintenance Building Is Total Loss In Early Morning Fire

A maintenance building at the Chattanooga Yacht Club is a total loss after an early morning fire on Sunday.

At 2:25 a.m., a resident called 911 reporting a possible boat fire at the club at 9400 N. Hickory Valley Road.  Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department responded and arrived on the scene reporting a detached building on fire.

Fire officials reported the burning structure was a maintenance building storing tools and equipment. Firefighters contained the fire to the one building.

The building is a total loss and valued at $60,000.

No injuries were reported, but Hamilton County EMS was on the scene for any potential injuries to the first responders.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
