2nd Information Session Planned At Chattanooga State For Displaced Virginia College Students

  • Saturday, December 15, 2018

In continuing efforts to assist students displaced by the abrupt closing of Virginia College, a second information session has been scheduled by Chattanooga State Community College on Monday, December 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the Library of the Instructional Materials Center, IMC building. Affected students who may have missed the first session earlier this week or who need additional information, can expect a reminder email about the Dec. 17 session from Cate Green, dean of students at Virginia College.

Marsha Barker, director of adult services, will once again lead the session and answer questions.

At the request of previous session attendees, representatives from Chattanooga State’s Culinary Arts and Medical Assisting programs will join Reed Allison, director of financial aid, at the December 17 session.

Students are encouraged to visit the Federal Student Aid website at https://studentaid.ed.gov/sa/about/announcements/closed-school for tips on transferring to another school, obtaining academic transcripts, more about federal student loans, and how to contact your loan servicer for assistance.

Students may sign up for the December 17 information session at www.chattanoogastate.edu/tnreconnect or call (423) 697-3346 with questions.
