Southern Adventist University invites the community to the 16th annual Antique and Classic Car Show on Oct. 27 from noon-3 p.m. in the Mabel Wood Hall parking lot in Collegedale. Hosted by the School of Business’ Industrial Technologies program, this year’s car show will be an expansion of the annual event to include even more features, activities and special guests for the community to enjoy.
Trophies will be awarded for “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice” for both classic/antique and specialty car categories. NASCAR chaplain John Earnhardt will serve as MC and one of our judges.
Activities include Boyd’s Speedway Racecar Simulator, a free rock-climbing wall, kid-friendly activities, door prizes, student black smiths demonstrating a working forge and live Big Band music.
The first 200 attendees will receive a goody bag.
Food vendors include Clumpies Ice Cream Co., Fat Boys Roadside Eats, Tasty Donuts and Choo Choo Kettle Korn.
This event is free and open to the public. To register a vehicle for display, visit southern.edu/carshow. The deadline to register is Oct. 23.
