Buddy’s bar-b-q is now open for business at 619 Camp Jordan Pkwy. in East Ridge. The East Tennessee barbeque restaurant’s new location is just behind Bass Pro Shops and will host their grand opening celebration on Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and everyone is welcome.

Buddy’s bar-b-q is a casual hometown barbeque restaurant that offers some of the best hickory-smoked pork, chicken, ribs, brisket, and wings, made fresh daily.

Buddy’s was first established in 1972 in Knoxville, and the expansion to East Ridge marks the 15th location in the Buddy’s family and the first in the greater Chattanooga area.  Buddy’s still operates today with the original philosophy of treating customers as if they were guests in their own home. Fresh food and Southern hospitality are their specialty, said officials.

“There is a lot of enthusiasm about Buddy’s expanding beyond the Knoxville region,” said Darik Dawes, managing partner of Buddy’s East Ridge location.  “We’re very excited to bring Buddy’s to East Ridge.”

“On grand opening day we’ll be offering folks in attendance ice cream cones and Jr. hot fudge cakes along with other give-a-ways and festivities,” said Mr. Dawes. “In addition, we’ll be contributing 10 percent of our total sales on grand opening day to the Kidney Foundation of Greater Chattanooga - Dare to Dance Team of Risa Miller and Denny Lennon.”

Buddy’s offers dine-in with both indoor and outdoor seating, take-out or to-go, drive-thru and fill orders in large bulk.  The exact location is just off Interstate 75 on exit 1 at Camp Jordan Parkway.  To reach Buddy’s by phone call 541-7400. They are open daily from 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

"As a former small business owner, I understand and appreciate the positive economic impact when small businesses choose East Tennessee to grow and expand," said Rep. Chuck Fleischmann. "Buddy’s bar-b-q of East Ridge is a welcome addition to our community, and I wish them great success in their new endeavor. Congratulations!”

“I am trilled to welcome Buddy’s bar-b-q to East Ridge," said Rep. Easter Helton. "Buddy’s philosophy of treating customers as if they were guests in their own home aligns perfectly with the values of our local community.  As a patron myself, I can say the food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful.”

“The city is proud to welcome Buddy’s bar-b-q to East Ridge and thank them for investing in our community," said East Ridge Mayor Brian Williams. "I have enjoyed their exceptional food and southern hospitality. We wish Buddy’s continued success.”
