Velma Wilkerson
Velma J. Wilkerson, 77, departed this life on October 8, 2019.
She was a member of Thompkin Chapel AME Zion Church. She attended Howard High School Class of 1960.
Survivors include her sister, Carrie Wilkerson; nephews, Donald Shaw, Eric Wilkerson; nieces, Avis (Lamar) King, Jameca Forrester; other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be held 12-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 16, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery.
