New members and officers at the fall 2019 Psi Chi induction ceremony
The Lee University chapter of Psi Chi, the international psychology honor society, held its 56th biannual induction. Eleven psychology majors were inducted during an evening dinner and ceremony which included chapter officers and family members.
“Membership in Psi Chi recognizes students’ academic excellence,” said Dr. Robert Fisher, professor of psychology and faculty sponsor. “Through Psi Chi, they are also eligible for research grant and scholarship opportunities. We are so proud of these students and celebrate their hard work.”
The new inductees include Macy Burton, Brooke Campbell, Hope Cummings, Anastasia Murray, Madison Myers, Bethany Panza, Shantoneé Porter, Laura Reyes, Shelby Stiteler, Katie Tennison, and Isabella Underwood.
Founded in 1929 with a mission of recognizing and promoting excellence in the science and application of psychology, Psi Chi is celebrating its 90th anniversary this year.
