James Robertson, 62, Dies In East Ridge House Fire; Lisa Crowe, 62, In Critical Condition

James Robertson, 62, died in a house fire in East Ridge on Thursday night and Lisa Crowe, 62, was in critical condition.

East Ridge Fire Chief Mike Williams said at approximately 10:39 p.m., East Ridge Fire, East Ridge Police and Lifeguard EMS, were dispatched to a reported residential fire at 1302 Adonna Lane.

Upon arrival heavy smoke and fire was coming from a single-story residence. A bystander advised the first arriving fire department personnel that there were two occupants inside the home.

A second alarm was requested for additional manpower and apparatus. Crews immediately began search and rescue operations and located two victims. The victims were removed from the residence and medical attention was given.

Lifeguard EMS transported both victims to a local hospital. Mr. Robertson died at the hospital. Ms. Crowe is in critical condition. East Ridge fire investigation division is currently investigating the origin and cause of the fire.

First alarm companies from East Ridge were, Squad 3, Squad 1, Quint 1, Engine 2, Rescue1, Battalion 1 and Support air/rehab 1.

Second alarm companies were Catoosa County Engine 7, Catoosa County Engine 3, Chattanooga Squad 13, Chattanooga Quint 13, Chattanooga Battalion 2 and Hamilton County Rescue rehab to the scene.

Rossville Engine and Chattanooga Engine 9 filled in to answer any other calls for service.
