The Covenant women's basketball team fell to Webster, 81-45, on Saturday night from Grant Gymnasium.
Ruthie Moore posted her first career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Rachel Thomas led the Scots with 13 points and Hannah Monday and Cosette Kirsch chipped in with eight points each. Margo Koby rounded out the Covenant (2-4) scorers with six.
Webster (2-1) opened the game with an 8-2 run over the first two minutes and never looked back. The Gorloks stretched their lead to 13 with an eight-point spurt with 2:32 left in the period but the Scots were able to trim the lead to 11 at the end of the first period.
The two teams traded buckets in the second frame but the Gorloks were able to extend their lead to 13 and took a 43-29 lead into the break.
Covenant struggled to get anything going offensively in the second half, being outscored 38-16 in the final two quarters.
Moore led the Scots with 10 rebounds and three assists.
Monday and Koby pulled down eight boards each as Monday also recorded a pair of blocks.
Thomas had an efficient shooting night in her 13 point performance. Thomas went 5-for-6 from the free-throw line and was 4-of-9 from the floor.
The Scots outrebounded the hosts 42-31.
Covenant went 16-for-51 (31.4 percent) overall and 13-of-16 (81.3 percent) from the charity stripe.
Addison Beussink led all scorers with 21 points. Hannah Cottrell posted 12 points of her own and Jaysea Morgan rounded out the Gorlok double-digit scorers with 10.
Buessink paced the hosts with eight rebounds and Morgan recorded eight of the team's 25 assists. Cottrell copped a game-high seven steals while Buessink had three blocks in the contest.
Webster shot 33-for-69 (47.8 percent) from the floor and 75 percent (15-for-20) from the line.
Neither team made a 3-pointer as they combined for a 0-for-13 night from distance.
The Scots wrap up their three-game road trip at Oglethorpe on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
