CGLA Students Have Art X Change Exhibit

Friday, November 8, 2019

The premiere of an original art installation created by a team of six students from Chattanooga Girls Leadership Academy will be Monday and Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Barking Legs Theatre.

The students, Aboijang Ayia, Nakeeha McCroskey, Aline Niyibitanga, Yesenia Pablo, Janiyah Rivers and Pamela Sales, were asked to explore problems they see in their community and envision solutions through the creation of art using critical thinking and collaborative techniques. This installation is a product of this work.

The art X Change program is facilitated by local artists: Shea Brill, Olga de Klein, Ann Law and Jamie Peterson.

This project was made possible through the support of the Lyndhurst Foundation and Scenic City Angel.
