CHI Memorial Center For Healthy Aging Hosts Education Seminar

At Boynton Terrace Apartments

Alycia Cleinman, M.D., geriatrician, and the CHI Memorial Center for Healthy Aging will host an educational seminar on Friday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. in the Boynton Terrace Apartments community room.  The topic is "Understanding Dementia". 

Dr. Cleinman will provide an overview on dementia, its early signs, and steps for screening.  The seminar will last one hour. There is no cost to attend. Boynton Terrace Apartments is at 955 Boynton Dr.

Future topics in this series include preventative health, and healthy habits.

CHI Memorial Center for Healthy Aging specializes in geriatric medicine providing quality health care that helps adults remain healthy and active as they age.  Providers focus on managing and treating complex age-related conditions including memory loss, fall and balance issues, and dementia-related behavioral problems, as well as primary care and social services to offer support to the whole family and provide access to community resources at the appropriate time.

CHI Memorial Center for Healthy Aging has three locations. The Chattanooga office is on the CHI Memorial Hospital Chattanooga campus, Memorial Missionary Ridge Medical Tower, 725 Glenwood Dr., Suite E-786.  Office hours at this location are 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. on Monday - Thursday, and 7:30 a.m. - noon on Friday.  Dr. Cleinman is currently welcoming new patients age 55 and up.

The Boynton office is at Boynton Terrace Apartments, next to the community room, at 957 Boynton Dr.  All local residents age 65 and up are welcome.  Office hours at this location are 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Signal Mountain office is located at Alexian Village skilled nursing facility, providing healthcare to residents of the village and the community. The clinic is at 437 Alexian Way, Signal Mountain.  Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
