Man Suffers 3rd Degree Burns In Early Morning Vehicle Fire

 A man suffered third degree burns to 50 percent of his body early Saturday morning because of a vehicle fire.

A 9-1-1 call was made Saturday at 2:30 a.m. reporting a vehicle fire and structure endangerment at 2806 Suck Creek Road.

Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services responded to the fire as well as Chattanooga Fire Department, an automatic Mutual Aid Company for Walden’s Ridge Emergency Services.

Firefighters worked quickly to extinguish the car and porch fire. Damages are unknown at this time.

HCEMS arrived on the scene and transported the man with third degree burns on his lower body to Erlanger Medical Center. The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
