Tyran Cameron
Tyran Maurice Cameron, 49, passed away on April 17, 2019.
He was a 1987 graduate of Tyner High School, and a 1992 graduate of UT Chattanooga with a bachelor of science degree in Business Administration. Tyran was employed as an operations manager at Blue Cross Blue Shield. He was a part time employee with Delta Ground Operations. He was a member of East Third Street Church of Christ, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., a member of the 19th Hole Golf Association and the Golf-A-Holics.
Survivors include his father, Elijah (Mary) Cameron, Jr. ; son, Jared “Jay” Johnson; sisters, Tara (Floyd) Mathis, Wendy (Tim) Wellington, Quisha (Patrick) Buggs, Tericka Cameron, Domonique Ellison, Janethia Caldwell, Tamekia (Freddie) Raines; brother, Marcus Rivers; significant other, Felicia McCaulley; grandson, Armani Johnson; special friends, Joey Hale and Brandon Culpepper; a host of other relatives and friends.
The body will lie in state after noon on Tuesday, April 23, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home. The Kappa Memorial Service will begin at 6 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6:30-8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Brother John R. Taylor, Sr. officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
