A Chattanooga Public Works crew accidentally hit a guide wire and that caused a WNOO Radio tower to fall last week, station owner Lee Clear said.

Mr. Clear said the city is taking care of replacement of the tower and building a gravel road to the tower site for a crane.

The station owner said he was thankful that no one was hurt.

The AM and FM may be back on in a few days.

The station was setting up temporary antennas until the real tower can go up.
