Paul Medlin
Paul Edward Medlin, 73, long time resident of Cleveland, passed away at his home on Monday, June 17, 2019.
Paul was born to the late Carl and Margaret Green Medlin. He retired after 39 years of service with the Army National Guard. He also did community service with the Bradley County Sherriff’s Department and was a security guard at the Church of God headquarters. He attended the Calvary Church of God. He loved to fish and he loved to eat. But more than anything he adored his grandchildren and time spent with them was definitely time well spent.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pastor Claude R. and Johnnie Bell Green; father and mother-in-law, Loyd Buck and Etta Frances Miller; granddaughter, Jessica Ann Green and grandson, Nathanial William Levi Ledford.
Left behind to cherish his memory is his wife of 53 years, Joann Miller Medlin; children, Paul R. Medlin and his wife Michelle; Kimberly M. Ledford and her husband Timothy; James Medlin and his wife Dana; grandchildren; Hunter Green, Timothy Ledford, Christian Medlin, Carson Medlin, Cayden Medlin, Kaydence Medlin and Kensley Austin.
The Celebration of Paul’s life will be held on Friday, June 21, at 7 p.m. at Companion Funeral Home at 2415 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, Tn. 37311.
The Reverends Randy Bragg and Joe Sneed will be officiating with Roy Beck, Tim Gregg, Winston Ledford, Bill Stephenson, Christian Medlin, Carson Medlin, Cayden Medlin, Hunter Green and Austin Ledford serving as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 4-7 p.m.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
