Milk & Honey And Clumpies Ice Cream Co. Take Top Honors At 15th Annual Ice Cream Social

  • Monday, June 24, 2019

The 15th annual Ice Cream Social at the Chattanooga Market was held on Sunday allowing market-goers the chance to sample and vote for their favorite ice cream flavors.

Five local creameries, including Baskin-Robbins, Clumpies Ice Cream Co., Milk & Honey, Sweet Cream Ice Cream, and The Ice Cream Show all participated in the annual fundraiser held at the Chattanooga Market to benefit Chambliss Center for Children.

After testing 10 different flavors, participants voted for their favorites in two categories, “Best Flavor with Fruit” and “Best Flavor with Mix-ins.” As always, the competition was tight, however, coming out on top was Clumpies Ice Cream Co. and Milk & Honey. Clumpies Ice Cream Co.’s Raspberry Sorbet received the award for “Best Flavor with Fruit,” and Milk & Honey’s Peanut Butter Oreo gelato received the award for “Best Flavor with Mix-ins.”

“We are so grateful for our dedicated ice cream vendors who make this event such a success every year,” said Alissa Miller, communications coordinator for Chambliss Center for Children. “Their generosity allows us to put all of the money raised from ticket sales directly back into our programs, and of course, their delicious ice cream makes for the perfect summertime event.”
