A man who is claiming he was the victim of excessive force is now facing multiple charges in Marion County.
Charges against James Mitchell in connection with his controversial drug arrest by two county deputies in Hamilton County were dismissed.
However, Mitchell was booked into the Marion County Jail on Saturday night. He is charged with possession of stolen property, unlawful possession of firearm by felon, evading arrest, and aggravated assault.
His arrest came about three hours after he appeared at a press conference with the NAACP condemning the search.
Records show he was booked at 6:35 p.m. on Saturday.
