Dalton State golfer Sport Allmond has been named the SSAC's male A.O. Duer Scholarship Award winner.
Dalton State Men's Golf Coach Ben Rickett said, "Sport has always worked extremely hard at everything that he has done, but that doesn't guarantee being successful. This showed his character at the end of his sophomore year where he didn't make the team for the national championship and the first thing that he asked was could he come along and support the team."
Dalton State Faculty Athletics Representative Kimberly Hays said, "Sport has been an incredibly successful golfer during his time at Dalton State College.
In addition to their success on the course, the golf team at Dalton State has always been firmly dedicated to service in the local community. He also continually shows high academic achievement in a rigorous Management Information Systems program."
