Cates, Thomas Join Nurse Practitioner Staff At Vascular Institute Of Chattanooga

Vascular Institute of Chattanooga announces the addition of Marysol Thomas, FNP-C and Ashleigh Cates, FNP-C as new additions to the nurse practitioner staff.
 
The addition of Ms. Thomas and Ms. Cates will bring VIC to seven nurse practitioners on staff. They will join Jenni Wilson, FNP-C, Stephanie Sheriden, DNP, Roxanne Phillips, NP-C, Veronica O’Steen, FNP-C and Ashley Elledge, FNP-BC.
 
“We are excited to welcome Marysol and Ashleigh to our staff,” said Chris LeSar, MD, VIC’s founding physician and vascular surgeon.  “At VIC, our nurse practitioners demonstrate a high level of patient care, leading to better outcomes for our patients.
Marysol and Ashleigh will continue this tradition and expectation.”
 
Ms. Thomas, who is bilingual in English and Spanish, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga before obtaining her master of science degree from Southern Adventist University. She is accredited as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Ms. Thomas is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice and Tennessee Nurses Association.

Ms. Cates, who will be treating wound care patients in addition to vascular needs, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She is accredited as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She is a Certified Wound Care Nurse by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board. Ms. Cates is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice and Sigma Theta Tau-Nursing Honor’s Society.
