Home On Vance Avenue Damaged By Fire Wednesday Morning

A home on Vance Avenue was damaged by fire Wednesday morning.

At 8:04 a.m. a call came into Hamilton County 911 for a house fire at 2509 Vance Ave. in the Ridgedale community. The Chattanooga Fire Department arrived on scene at 8:10 a.m. to a single-story home with smoke visible from the roof. Chattanooga Firefighters made a quick search for victims combined with an aggressive fire attack to bring the fire under control at 8:24 a.m.

The damage to the home is estimated at $20,000. There were no injuries reported, and the cause is under investigation.

The Chattanooga Police Department, Hamilton County Emergency Medical  Services and Electric Power Board were on scene to assist.
