Scam Prevention Session Targets Chattanooga Consumers On Aug. 15

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance’s Division of Consumer Affairs is partnering with the Urban League of Greater Chattanooga to provide scam-fighting tips to consumers from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. this Thursday at The Urban League of Greater Chattanooga, 730 E. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Chattanooga.

Consumers will receive tips on preventing common scams like imposter scams, identity theft, gift card scams, sweetheart scams and more. Scam-fighting resources and information for reporting scams and deceptive business practices will also be presented.
