Attention all area athletic directors, coaches and statisticians: The Chattanoogan.com now has an email address just for you to report your game and match scores.  As our sports staff continues to ramp up the amount of our prep coverage in the Chattanooga-area this latest tool will help us ensure your fans are kept up-to-date on your team’s progress. 

Once your game or match is over, just send your scores and any pertinent stats or highlights to: chattanooganscores@gmail.com.  We will add your results to our Schedule and Results column. Please, also continue to report game stories to the writer you have traditionally worked with by established methods.

Three Cleveland State Teams Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors

Three different Cleveland State teams were named an NJCAA All-Academic Team on Thursday. These prestigious awards are given to NJCAA teams that earn a 3.0 or higher as a team for the academic year. The award winners were Baseball, with a 3.17 team GPA, Women’s Cross Country, with 3.12 team GPA, and Softball, with a 3.07 team GPA. (click for more)

Hamilton County Has Record 71 In Hospital With Coronavirus; Tennessee Has 25 More Deaths

The number of coronavirus patients in Chattanooga hospitals has risen to the highest level yet - 71. That includes 37 from Hamilton County. The previous high was 65 on June 10. The number of those in Intensive Care has dropped back down to 17. Hamilton County has had 104 more coronavirus cases, bringing the total to 3,180. Deaths remain at 36. There ... (click for more)

UTC Commencement Ceremonies Are Canceled

UTC officials have canceled commencement ceremonies that had been postponed to August, due to COVID. Officials said, "Back in March when COVID-19 first made its way to Chattanooga, a conclusion was reached to postpone commencement ceremonies until August.
