Kudos To The Voices

Monday, September 16, 2019

What a great night last Saturday at Lee University in Cleveland. Over a thousand of us were blessed to attend the 25th Anniversary of the choral group "Voices of Lee".

To have singers from all of those years reunite made for a special night. To see the number of singers that have been directed, mentored and encouraged by Danny and Debby Murray is impressive. The gifts given to the Murrays were more than deserved.

In performances all over this country (and don't forget the Sing Off show in NBC) in front of audiences big and small, you Voices of Lee have made us proud. To bring Christ to people through music is a great gift. I, for one, thank you. It was a fabulous evening that I wish we could see again.

Have We Been Saved?

Ruth Bader Ginsburg is dead. On Friday evening she passed out of this life and into eternity. She has now seen God face to face. She is now in a world where God is king, where his rule is absolute and may not be taken up on appeal. "Thy kingdom come thy will be done in earth as it in heaven." Unlike earth, rebellion to his laws is given no day in court. And all her ideas of what ... (click for more)

This United States is an apt beginning for this note to the reader. We have a few states that border Tennessee. We do not shoot at each other across state lines. Those days are gone. The legend however hangs on. Just listen to the rhetoric of the President of the U.S., Donald Trump. Pitting blue state against red states as if the Hatfields and McCoys are once again at their fuedin'. ... (click for more)

Veteran Leadership - Zeca and Hernandez Propel CFC to Conference Title

The second goal in CFC’s 3-0 win over New Amsterdam was truly vintage for the best team in NISA’s Eastern Conference.
