BlueCross To Offer Drive-Through Flu Shots At Mt. Canaan Baptist On Oct. 12

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is partnering with Mt. Canaan Baptist Church for its fifth annual drive-through flu shot clinic on Oct. 12. 
 
Walgreens Pharmacy representatives will administer flu vaccines to those ages seven and older from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. in the church parking lot,  (former K-Mart), 4801 Hwy. 58 in Chattanooga. BlueCross members or others with health insurance must bring their insurance card to receive flu vaccines provided as part of their coverage. Vaccines are available for $41 to those without insurance.
 
In addition to receiving flu shots, attendees can drop off unused and expired prescriptions to help reduce the risk of medication misuse and abuse.Local law enforcement officials and the Hamilton County Coalition will be on-site to collect old prescription medications and provide information on proper medication storage and disposal.
