Edward “Ed” A. Stephens, Jr., 67, of Chattanooga, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.

He was born on Oct. 4, 1953, in Chattanooga. Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen (Rackley) and Edward A. Stephens, Sr.

Ed is survived by his wife of 39 years, Becky; his sons and daughter-in-laws, Taylor and John Stephens, and Elaine and Mike Stephens; two granddaughters, Emery and Maddie Stephens.

An engineer at TVA for over 30 years, Ed was the perfect husband, father, grandfather, colleague, and friend, known for his kind soul, gentle nature, and loving attitude toward everyone he met.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, at First Lutheran Church, 2800 McCallie Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404, with Reverend Donald Welmer and Reverend Gilbert Pingel officiating. Interment will follow at ­­­­Lakewood Memory Gardens East.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his honor may be made to First Lutheran Church or Belvoir Christian Academy.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 18, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, Tn. 37421.
