Luvenia Talley
Mrs. Luvenia Thomas Talley, 82, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2020, in Chattanooga.
Mrs. Talley was born in Athens, Ga., to the late Mr. Solomon and Mrs. Lizzie Mae Thomas. She was a graduate of Howard High School and Erlanger School of Nursing; working for over 40 years in her profession. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses Lookout Congregation.
Luvenia was predeceased by her parents; husband, Norman Talley, Sr.; sisters, Lily Thomas, Daisy Marble, Louise Mapp, and Elnora Burke; brothers, Solomon Thomas, Jr., and Richard Thomas; granddaughter, Courtney Vaught.
She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Luvenia (Tony) Taylor and Kimberly Bailey; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Jeanette Thomas; grandson, Reginald Knight, Jr; granddaughter, Cydney Ponder; niece, Karen Scott.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 19, at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
