Crossville Speedway up on the Cumberland Plateau was the only track not rained out Saturday as the 1/3 mile high banked oval wrapped up their 2020 racing season with the Topless Outlaw Late Model series. Of the 19 race teams, Austin Neely (# 3) of New Tazewell, pocketed the $2,500 payday.
Cleveland's John Ownbey was runner-up with Knoxville's Jed Emert just ahead of (two time Dirt Track World Champion) Chattanoogan Ronnie Johnson and Jason Trammell, also from K-Town. Just outside the Top 5 was 2020 Crossville Speedway Track Champion Andy Miller of Dunlap in sixth.
Sweetwater's I-75 Raceway between Chattanooga and Knoxville at Exit 60 on Hwy. 68 was rained out in the midst of their Saturday night 2020 season finale. The promoters decided to reopen Sunday afternoon and pick up where the rain halted their program. Gates open at 11 a.m. Sunday with racing starting at 1 p.m.
Fort Payne (AL) Motor Speedway, 45 minutes outside Chattanooga off I-59 was rained out early Saturday and has rescheduled their UCRA "Witchy 50" Trick or Treat special event for next Saturday, Oct. 31.
