Veterans Day Ceremony Will Be Held Nov. 11 At Tennessee Riverpark

The Chattanooga Area Veterans Council Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. and the public is invited to attend.

This year the ceremony is moved from the Chattanooga National Cemetery to the Tennessee Riverpark and Hubert Fry Center. at 4301 Amnicola Hwy.

The keynote speaker will be General (Ret.) B. B. Bell. General Bell is a 1969 University of Chattanooga graduate and served 39 years in the U. S. Army, with 15 years deployed overseas in Korea, Europe, the Middle East and Southwest Asia.

The program will be held in very close proximity to the Wreath of Honor, the memorial honoring the Fallen Five. 

"The community is invited to this great tradition of honoring our veterans, as we pause to remember on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and to say thanks to all of those who have served our country on this 2020 Veterans Day at the Tennessee Riverpark," organizers said.
