Elizabeth Maddux Groves
Elizabeth Maddux Groves, 79, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, November 14, 2020 in a local hospital.
She had worked as a hairdresser in her younger days. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Eugene Groves; parents, Walter Maddux and Lois Faye Maddux; and siblings, Harold Maddux, Jim Maddux, Pat Maddux, Ralph Maddux, Ginger Webb, and Kay Satterfield.
She is survived by three children, Lisa Green and husband Rick of Charleston, TN, Jacqueline Groves of Cleveland, and Brian Groves and wife Karen of Cleveland; five grandchildren, Tyler Dodd, Tanner Dodd, Tara Groves, Trista Groves Banacos, and Elaina Holliday; one great-grandchild, Hallie Dodd; siblings, Joyce Satterfield of Hixson, Paul Maddux of Cleveland, and Chuck Maddux of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Red Hill Cemetery with Pastor Anthony Cameron officiating. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes concluding the service. Pallbearers include; Tanner Dodd, Tyler Dodd, Stephen Maddux, Trevor Webb, Glen Satterfield, Matt Botts, and honorary pallbearer, Phillip Maddux.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 16, at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
