ChaTech announces 49 applications were submitted for its 2020 ChaTech Scholarship Awards, and 18 students were selected to receive $1,000 to $2,000 in scholarships. Thanks to the generosity of Volkswagen Chattanooga, Chattanooga’s DevOpsDay, the ChaTech CXO Auction, and Sirius, ChaTech awarded a total of $22,000 in scholarships.
The scholarship recipients were honored at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday.
Receiving scholarships are: Jeffrey Clem – Austin Peay State University, Caleb Grimes - Chattanooga State Community College, Ryan Cavitt – Cleveland State Community College, Jonathan George – Covenant College, Darbey Peden – Dalton State College, Dakota Ridge Waldon – Dalton State College, Lori Gallagher – Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Brittany Wattenbarger – Georgia Northwestern Technical College, Aliva McGuire – Lee University, Jonathan Riley – Lee University, Bryant Wooters – Lee University, Seth Cook – Middle Tennessee State University, Marie McCord – Middle Tennessee State University, Deanna King – Tennessee Tech, Debolina Halder Lina – Tennessee Tech University, Brendon Wood – Tennessee Tech University, Rebecca Dunston – University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Austin Elder – University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
ChaTech Scholars are outstanding students who meet the criterion established by the Scholarship Committee. To qualify, students must pursuing an information technology degree and submit essays as outlined in the application.
