Georgia Has 26 New Coronavirus Deaths, 2,880 New Cases

Georgia state health officials reported on Friday there have been 26 additional deaths due to the coronavirus. The current total is 8,591.

There were 2,880 new cases as that total reached 399,410 confirmed cases of coronavirus. 

Hospitalizations are at 33,897, up 119 from Wednesday. 

Here are the numbers by county:

Catoosa County: 1,862 cases, up 32; 28 deaths, up 1; 95 hospitalizations, up 2

Chattooga County: 1,084 cases, up 7; 31 deaths, up 1; 76 hospitalizations

Dade County: 462 cases, up 10; 7 deaths; 26 hospitalizations

Walker County: 2,378 cases, up 146; 49 deaths; 110 hospitalizations, up 1

Whitfield County: 7,024 cases, up 98; 75 deaths, down 1; 335 hospitalizations, up 3
