Clifford Lane
Clifford Lane, 68, of Chattanooga, passed away on Friday, November 20, 2020, in the Hospice Care Center.
He was a 1970 graduate of Zurette School of Learning. Clifford worked on the naval base in California for 14 years and then relocated to Chattanooga. He was employed by Arcade and retired after 15 years of service. He was a faithful member of Orchard Knob Baptist Church, where he participated in the Male Chorus and the Brotherhood Fellowship.
Clifford was preceded in death by his father, William Lane; mother, Betty Brown; and brother, Carl Lane.
Survivors include his aunt who cared for him as if he was her biological son, Frances (Robert) Rice of Chattanooga; brother, Larry (Boria) Blankenship of Rockford, IL; nieces, Saecelia (Reginald) Jackson of Logansville, GA and Cynthia Lane of Gulfport, MS; nephews, Carl (Taylor) Lane, Jr. of Cheyenne, WY; great nieces and nephews, Sanaa Jackson, Christian Jackson, Ileah Lane, Taylon Lane, and Keyden Lane; aunts, Dorothy McDowell of Peachtree City, Ga., Sue Miller, and Nannette Stamper, both of Chattanooga; a very dear cousin, Cynthia Roberts of Peachtree City, Ga.; several cousins and friends.
Clifford will lie in state on Wednesday, Nov. 25, from 10-12:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
A graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. in Lakewood Memory Gardens, East with Reverend Robert L. Rice as the eulogist.
