Dora Ann Cotton, 70, of Chattanooga, passed away on November 20, 2020, with her family beside her.
She was of Baptist faith, and graduated from Central High School and McKenzie Business College. She was employed by Olan Mills, Chattanooga Municipal Airport, and BlueCross BlueShield Of Tennessee, Chattanooga.
Dora was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Williams, Sr. and Marion B. Williams-Williams; sister, Margaret Williams; brother, Fredrick Williams.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, William Robert Cotton, Jr.; sons, William Robert (Christina) Cotton III, Reginald Omari Cotton; daughter, Nefertari Kesi Cotton; 10 grandchildren, Jaylen Cotton Bates, Jakhouri Cotton Strickland, Quedarrius, Isaiah, Kiara, Aries, Jalen, Omariyah, Tristan and Journee Cotton all of Chattanooga; sisters, Jo Ann Williams, Shreveport, LA, Lisa (Alton) Hall, Chattanooga, Dorothy (Art) Farria, Ringgold, GA, Glenda Williams, Chattanooga; brothers, Robert Williams, Jr., Johnny (Amy) Williams, Larry Williams, all of Chattanooga; brother-in-law, Charles (Donetta) Cotton; sister-in-laws, Deborah (Eddie) Yancey, Robin (the late Alonzo”Butch”Cotton); a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and a dear close friend until the end; Jacqueline Daniels Blake (Robert) of Chattanooga.
Public viewing will be from 2–6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 30, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 1, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
