Hamilton County Has 2 More COVID Deaths, 173 New Cases; Tennessee Has 9,689 New Cases

Hamilton County reported 173 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday, for a total of 25,281. There were two more deaths from the virus in the county, bringing the total to 235.

The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is at 519,687 on Sunday with 9,689 new cases. There have been 54 more deaths from the virus, for a total of 6,071, said state Health Department officials.

The state currently has 2,789 people hospitalized from the virus, 104 less than on Saturday.

Testing numbers are above 5.282 million across the state. 

The number of people who have recovered from coronavirus in Tennessee is 434,977, 84 percent.

Bledsoe County:  1,454 cases; 7 deaths

Bradley County:  8.060; 60 deaths

Grundy County: 1,068 cases; 15 deaths

Marion County: 1,665 cases; 22 deaths

Meigs County: 840 cases; 14 deaths

Polk County: 1,022 cases; 15 deaths

Rhea County: 2,763 cases; 44 deaths

Sequatchie County: 1,004 cases; 7 deaths

Knox 28,391 cases; 244 deaths

Davidson 55,293 cases; 503 deaths

Shelby 60,630 cases; 815 deaths
