Effective immediately, to reduce the possibility of infection, the Chattanooga Ronald McDonald House is halting all volunteer programs and closing the House to volunteers and visitors.
Officials said they are in contact with hospital partners and local health authorities who are closely monitoring the dynamic situation of COVID-19 and will continue to act carefully to ensure all precautionary steps are taken.
In these unprecedented times, it is more important than ever to get help with providing meals. Therefore, officials are calling on the community to help cover the cost to provide dinner for families, since the volunteer meal program is currently suspended.
According to guidelines, the Ronald McDonald House is unable to accept already prepared meals. Exceptions include meals that are prepared in commercial kitchens.
The best way to help us provide meals:
Provide quick meal ingredients that the staff can prepare...examples - boxed Hamburger Helper, canned chicken, canned soups, pasta noodles and sauce(s)
