“I am thrilled that Dr. Ashcraft is joining the University Relations team,” said Dr. Brad Moffett, vice president for University Relations at Lee. “Susan will bring energy, care and vision to her new role and to our team.”

Dr.
Ashcraft joined Lee’s Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences in 2001, where she currently serves as professor of psychology and human development. Her works include four Amazon best sellers, including “Beloved: A Journey to Find What Your Soul Longs For” and the Sorcha Books Trilogy.

She is also the founder of Beloved Ministries, a ministry for women, designed to equip, challenge and encourage one another.

“There are few things I am prouder of than being an alumna of Lee University,” said Dr. Ashcraft. “I am so grateful for and humbled by the opportunity I now have to serve our alumni community. They are the dynamic link between the university's past, present and future, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with our alums and thanking them for their continued involvement with their alma mater."

Dr. Ashcraft received her doctor of philosophy in human development and family studies from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, her master of education in counselor education and counseling psychology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and her bachelor of arts in psychology from Lee.
