Ernest Lee Booker, Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020.  

 

He was born and raised in Huntsville, Al., and graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.  He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served on the USS Muliphen then retired from the TVA and taught as an adjunct instructor at Chattanooga State for 20 years.  

 

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 22 years, Dee Booker, sister, Carolyn (Bill) Burks, daughters, LaRunda (Bart) Jordan, Janessa Booker, two sons and six grandchildren.  

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Lee Booker Sr. and Lillie Mae Carpenter.  He was an avid gardener, woodworker and absolutely loved teaching, imparting the importance of education.
