Ed Nunley, 68, of Signal Mountain, passed away on Saturday, June 20, 2020.

Eddie L. Nunley was born on Sept. 3, 1951, to the late Glasgow Nunley and Freda Mae (Nolan) Nunley. Mr. Nunley graduated from Kirkman High School, where he studied Industrial Machine Shop. He then volunteered to serve his country in the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant Gunner on a scout helicopter in the Army Armored Squadron. He was awarded an “Air Medal for Heroism” for saving multiple US Soldiers during battle in 1971. Ed worked in the Chattanooga area as a machinist and became the owner of his own shop for a period of time before having his first bout with cancer. He supported his late brother Randy in the startup of the Tennessee Rand Co., where he eventually became the Manager of Manufacturing until retiring in 2018. Ed loved golfing, fishing, hunting, and traveling.

He is survived by his mother, Freda Nolan and stepfather, Tex,  brother, Brad (Shelia) Nunley, sisters, Tammie (Darryl) Brewster, Shirley (Jeff) Price, sister-In-law, Rhonda Nunley, nephews, Brandon Brewster and Jalen Price, nieces, Alexandria Brewster and Nena Dorsey, great niece, Collins Brewster, great nephew, Wells Brewster, friend and companion, Robbie Wood.

A service will not be held due to personal request and social distancing.

The family appreciates your prayers and concerns.
