First Horizon Bank announced on Wednesday that Jimmy Martin has been named senior credit officer for east Tennessee.

Mr. Martin has been with First Horizon Bank for 22-years. His experience includes roles as portfolio manager and team lead in Chattanooga. In his new role, he will also work with clients in Bristol, Johnson City, Knoxville, and Maryville.

Chattanooga market president Jay Dale said, “As First Horizon and IBERIABANK are now one team, we have new opportunities that allow us to do even more for the clients we serve.  Jimmy is a great example of someone who has a long history with the bank and gets up every day thinking about what is best for his clients. It’s that type of dedication that will serve Jimmy and his clients well.”

“I’m excited to get started in my new position,” said Mr. Martin. “First Horizon has a long tradition of local decision making, and I am honored to continue this tradition.  In today’s market, having someone with local decision authority who knows our clients is important.”

Mr. Martin is a graduate of Lee University and received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  He and his wife Rachel are parents to two daughters and are active members of Rockbridge Church where he serves as an elder.
