Points Round #5: UCRA 604/Crate Championship

Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, the 2018 United Championship Racing Alliance - UCRA points champion leads the 2020 National Points standings heading into August.

The proverbial leader of his "Mohawk Nation" recently picked up is second runner up finish at the Wartburg (TN) Speedway and holds a 17 point lead currently over leading Rookie of the Year contender Jason Cardwell of Knoxville.

Cardwell's runner up finish at the "Battle at the Burg" to inaugural UCRA Champion Jake Teague of nearby Petross tied his series best finish that came in June at Fort Payne Motor Speedway in Alabama.

Kasey Hall of Geraldine is just behind Cardwell exiting Wartburg with a ninth place finish.

UCRA mainstay Kenny Kizzar of Soddy Daisy is just ahead of Rookies Jeremy Holtzclaw of Sparta and Jeff Neubert of Rockford.

Talladega Short Track winner Jason Welshan of Maryville tops three Alabama racers in seventh overall in the standings.

In mid-August the series returns to Tazewell Speedway for a $3,000 to-Win / 50 lapper, Saturday night the 15th, a week before Fort Payne's third and final event of the season for the 604/Crate touring group. Red Line Synthetic Oil is presenting the UCRA with $20,000 up for grabs in various championship awards for 2020.
