Interim Liberty University President Attended Tennessee Temple, Lived On Signal Mountain

Jerry Prevo, who was named interim president of Liberty University after inappropriate photos of Jerry Falwell Jr. surfaced, has a Chattanooga connection.

He attended Tennessee Temple University and lived on Signal Mountain.

A native of Oak Ridge, Rev. Prevo was at Temple for graduate studies after completing Baptist Bible College.

He was the longtime pastor of the Anchorage Baptist Temple in Alaska before becoming involved in the Moral Majority.

He served as chairman of Liberty's board of trustees.
