Denzel and Nadia
Denzel and Nadia

This week, meet Denzel, left, and Nadia.

Denzel is nearly three years old, and came to MAC from a South Georgia coastal shelter just before a hurricane last year. He’s very sweet and gentle, and is a big goof with a super funny bay/bark. Great manners with other dogs- plays well and respects when other dogs wish for him to give them space. Denzel would like a home where his humans will help him gently learn good manners. He is very food motivated, and treats will keep him motivated and make training fun! Denzel is currently in a foster home, but is available for adoption by appointment.

Nadia is a three year old who entered MAC as a stray in April. She is very sweet, but will need a quiet home and a family willing to help her blossom into the loving house cat she is. With a little time, patience, and a lot of love, she'll become the cat you can't live without.

Meet them and other adoptable animals at McKamey Animal Center, 4500 N. Access Road in Chattanooga.  Appointments to adopt are required. An adoption application can be filled out at https://www.mckameyanimalcenter.org/adoption. On the day of your appointment, come to the Adoption entrance and ring the bell, someone will assist you. If you have questions, call 423-305-6500 ext. 100  or email adoptionadmin@mckameyanimalcenter.org. Masks are required for admittance.

Open 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday through Thursday, and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Roy Exum: Thank You, Bill Zinkeler

There is one story in the Bible that I try to never forget. It’s the one where the Lord Jesus healed 10 lepers but only one came back with thanks. Man, forget those other nine … I strive to be the one who comes back. After all God has done in my life … I may fail again and again. I may be ‘a back-slider,’ and a disappointment to the Kingdom, but, brother, not thanking God every ... (click for more)
