Weaver Wins Crossville; Kennedy Wins Lil' Brothers Memorial At Wartburg

Randy "The Dream" Weaver dominated the 604/Crate "Hey Jack Construction 45" race Friday night at Crossville Speedway on the Cumberland Plateau. Capturing the lead on lap 19, from Zach Sise, Weaver went on cruise control at his home track winning over Jason Welshan of Maryville, Trevor Sise, neighbor Jesse Lowe and Z. Sise respectfully. Ooltewah's Riley Hickman was 10th overall.

The 604/Crate Late Models race I-75 Raceway Saturday in nearby Sweetwater.

Local racer Drew Kennedy won his little brother Drew's Memorial Late Model race at his home track Wartburg Speedway Friday night. Drew led all 37 laps for his brother, signifying the # K37 the team proudly runs, earning the $5,037 payday. Friend and longtime supporter "The Milkman" Mike Weeks of Friendsville was second overall. Cleveland's John Ownbey was 8th and Chattanooga's Booger Brooks was 17th.
